Tips from our Members: Raising the Bar

In our Authentically Connecting Sessions, we've been talking a lot about Raising the Bar on ourselves, our standards, what we settle with, our businesses, our health, etc. Here's my heart-spill on this:

So - how do YOU raise the bar? How WILL you raise the bar?

Here are 5 tips from our gorgeous members just like you:

I work in the health field and I see non-health everyday, but I help people deal with it and gain health (physically and mentally). I keep myself healthy by staying positive, absorbing energy from my surroundings, maintaining great gut health (probiotics, kefir etc), and FITNESS - my deepest truest love!

I work on the reward system. I love what I do, I love the people I meet. I dislike admin work. My biggest challenge is procrastination. There is always something else to do. I have actually worked a few different tips. My challenge last week was to get my newsletter out. Once it was accomplished I had my reward of home made organic greek ginger frozen yogurt. Yes, it was delicious. I have also put up my schedule in a place where all can see it. so in my office, my kitchen, the back of the door etc.

I am really focusing right now on raising the bar for myself for my own health!! I've always put everyone else first... clients included, and I have not walked the talk, UNTIL NOW. I can authentically say that ALL of the decisions that I am making now are for MY best interest! That includes being proactive in seeking out answers about my own health, to be the best, healthiest me I can be, and sharing that information with others. And most recently learning how to set healthy boundaries, saying yes and being brave BUT also having the courage to say NO and be OK with that! Putting yourself first and raising the bar on your own needs is not easy, but it is essential! I want 40 to be seriously fabulous!

I commit to developing 1-2 new skills per season. Things that test different parts of my brain, things that excite me, things that expand my horizons and help me live more empowered and more free. Last year I picked up the ukulele, learned to drive a scooter, took a 200-he yoga teacher training course, travelled solo to Bali, learned to surf. This year I've been developing online business and YouTuber skills, and I've been killin it in my 90-day Oxygen fitness challenge... Who knows what's next? Inevitably the effects of these new experiences cross over into other areas of my life, deepening the richness and liveliness of it in unexpected ways!

I think setting goals with like minded people is helpful. Anytime I've ever accomplished a huge fitness goal- it's been through the active participation and support of other people reaching for the same goal. It doesn't make the struggle any less difficult. Or the discipline any less important, but you share your ups and downs with people who can empathize and despite all the challenges, keep showing up- for each other. Together we are better.

Congrats to all of these Happy Healthy Women for realizing that their potential is so much greater than what we tend to settle with. I could not be more proud to surround myself with the cream of the crop!
