NEVER Pay Full Price for Clothing Again. EVER.

If you have shopped with me (Suzanne Colmer, Style Trailblazer for Happy Healthy Women and Founder of Your Shop Girl) you will know that I hate paying full price for clothes. So, how do I keep up with the sales? Simple. I follow these 5 steps:

1. I create an email just for sales I hate spam mail, but I loves sales. So in order to ensure I'm not scrolling through a thousand emails just to find a client email, I keep them separate.

2. I look for designer pieces on consignment sites I love sites like www.therealreal.com and www.snobswap.com for classic pieces.

3. I try on pieces in store and buy them online $300 on jeans? Nope, I don't think so! I love designer jeans, but I don't love the prices. Instead, I take pictures of the tags and search them online afterward. While you may have to settle for a different wash, 9 out of 10 times I can find the pair online. 4. I put the pieces on wish lists, in carts or on my Pinterest. Have you ever done "imaginary shopping" on a retail site? You know, when you put a whole bunch of clothes in your online cart with no real intention to buy. Well, if that cart is a shopify cart, they will often send you an email the next day letting you know you left something in your cart and offering you a discount to buy. Or if you add pieces to a wishlist many sites will prompt you to buy when they go on sale. I also like Pinning pieces that I love to a board; while they don't notify you when they they go on sale I am on Pinterest often enough to check in with the pieces. Plus there are only a few pieces on there that I really need

5. I shop (online) on major shopping holidays. We wait for Black Friday or Boxing day to buy major appliances, but we don't think about buying major pieces for our wardrobe. If you are in the market for a coat, a bag or a pair of great shoes, try saving for a big shopping holiday to save a few extra bucks. Want to see these tips in action?
